About Caroline Mitchell
Caroline Mitchell Ltd is a New Zealand based design company producing locally inspired giftware collections. We launched in New Zealand in 2003, and started exporting to Australia in 2006.
Our ideas come from the unique beauty that surrounds us; the native birds, flowers, wildlife and iconic imagery from each country.
The Company was founded by Caroline Mitchell, and artist who understood the importance of personal mementoes becoming treasured family heirlooms.
Many of our decorations and purses are stll made to Caroline's original designs, right down to the last thread and sequin. Her passion for special pieces of the highest quality led her to the talented Indian artisans who continue producing our ranges today

Sadly, Caroline lost her battle with cancer in 2008 and is missed dearly. Her legacy lives on through our new ranges of exquisitely crafted giftware.
Caroline Mitchell designs are available in major museums and art galleries, as well as independent gift, design and homeware boutiques, on both sides of the Tasman.
Caroline Mitchell proudly supports Mercy Hospice in New Zealand and we also support the Umang Initiative in India, which helps children with disabilities to become self-reliant and able to participate fully in society.
